Dr. Tim Reichert is the Founder and Co-CEO of STAPLE Investments. Prior to founding STAPLE, Tim was the Founder and CEO of the global economic consulting firm Economics Partners (EP), which he sold in 2018. EP specialized in shareholder value creation analytics and valuation work, and under Tim's leadership, advised on numerous multi-billion-dollar transactions across a range of industries. Before EP, Tim served as a Partner and Global Practice Leader at Duff & Phelps, and as a Partner and Practice Leader at Ernst & Young. He is also the founder of Catholic Laity and Clergy for Renewal, a Denver-based nonprofit. Tim holds a Ph.D. in Economics from George Mason University and is a well-known speaker and writer on economics topics. He and his wife, Martha, have four children and one grandchild.

John Guinee is Co-CEO of STAPLE Investments. Prior to joining STAPLE, he founded and served as Managing Partner of Constitution Capital Partners, a $6.7 billion private-markets platform specializing in middle-market fund of funds, co-investments, and private credit. Earlier, he was instrumental in establishing Standard Life Investments’ North American private-equity group. John began his career at GE, holding financial roles at GE Defense Systems and GE Plastics, and investment positions in GE Capital’s Corporate Finance Group. He holds an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management and serves on multiple nonprofit boards. John and his wife, Kara, have ten children.

Mike Madden is a Partner of STAPLE Investments. Prior to joining STAPLE, he spent 25 years on Wall Street as a Director in Nomura’s U.S. Equity business and as Managing Director and International Head of Equities at Bank of Tokyo / Mitsubishi Securities USA (now MUFG), where he oversaw equity derivatives, convertible bonds, and cash equities for both the U.S. and Japan. Mike was the co-founder of Sanzo Management, an M&A advisory firm serving U.S. and Japanese corporate clients. He holds an M.B.A. from Fordham University. Mike and his wife, Liz, have two children.

Mariano Diaz-Bonilla is a Partner of STAPLE Investments. Prior to joining STAPLE, he invested in and provided strategic advisory services to venture-stage and lower-middle-market businesses. Previously, he served at Skanska, where he led multi-million-dollar equity investments and raised over $4 billion in debt financing. Mariano began his career with Goldman Sachs in New York, advising corporate and private-equity clients on transactions totaling more than $5 billion across multiple industries. He holds a B.A. and M.B.A. from the University of Virginia and actively serves on several corporate and nonprofit boards. Mariano and his wife, Rebecca, have ten children.

Joe Westerhaus is the Head of Operations and Finance. Prior to joining STAPLE, he held financial‐reporting roles at Truist and served in controllership and liquidity risk management at Wells Fargo. Before that, he was an Audit Manager at KPMG, advising financial‐services clients. Joe holds a B.A. in Accounting from the University of St. Thomas, a Masters in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame, and is a licensed CPA in North Carolina. He and his wife, Margaret, have two children.

Will Harmeyer is a Financial Analyst at STAPLE Investments. Will joined the firm in 2025 and is responsible for screening, evaluating, negotiating, and monitoring investment opportunities. He holds a B.S. in Applied Computational Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Notre Dame.

Andrew Mazza is a Financial Analyst at STAPLE Investments. Andrew joined the firm in 2025 and is responsible for screening, evaluating, negotiating, and monitoring investment opportunities. He holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Thomas Aquinas College.
